What is a PE foam protection profile?

A "U" shaped foam profile is created in the process of extruding foamed polyethylene (EPE/LDPE). The center of the profile remains empty, and two parallel walls and a frontal bridge create a flexible clamp encompassing the edge from three sides. Such geometry guarantees three key functions:

  1. Damping: the bubble-like structure of the foam disperses the energy of impacts, preventing glass chipping and paint damage.

Material - foamed polyethylene LDPE/EPE

Low-density polyethylene LDPE is subjected to physical foaming, creating millions of tiny, closed cells filled with air. The result is a light, flexible, and hydrophobic material with an exceptional ability to dampen vibrations.

  • Density of 30 kg/m³: maintains elasticity while being resistant to crushing - it does not crack and does not crumble even at −40 °C.
